9/11 Remembrance From Broward Republican Chairman George Moraitis

Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I am writing to you today as we remember the tragic events of September 11th, 2001. For sixteen years we have set apart this day as a time to reflect upon the tremendous acts of terrorism against our country, the multitude of innocent lives that were lost, and the rekindled patriotism from a country united together.
Reflecting on 9/11 makes me grateful for the first responders in our communities and for the men and women who serve in our armed forces to protect our freedoms. It is hard to understand why painful things happen as they did on September 11th, but it is also encouraging to see leaders who have not allowed themselves to be intimidated by the threat of terrorism and our nation’s response in fighting those who seek to subvert the great promise of our nation.
Please take time today to pause and reflect upon the tragic events that forever changed us seventeen years ago, and join me in thanking the noble men and women who have served our country and who continue to serve. God has given us the greatest nation on earth, and we will never forget the lives that have been sacrificed that we might continue to live in peace. God bless each of you and the United States of America.
Sincerely,
George Moriatis
