(VIDEO) Police Threaten Broward School Board Candidate Because Voter Felt “Uncomfortable” Hearing About Murdered MSD Coach Aaron Feis
Davie police responded to the Davie/Cooper City Library on Sunday after a voter complained she felt “uncomfortable” hearing from the brother of murdered Marjory Stoneman Douglas coach Aaron Feis. Ray Feis was campaigning for Broward School Board candidate Richard Mendelson at the early voting location in Davie. Mendelson posted a video of his discussion with police on social media.
Mendelson is challenging School Board District 6 Member Laurie Rich Levinson, the daughter of Broward County Commissioner Nan Rich. The police warned Mendelson he could be “trespassed” and removed from the polling place if the complaints continued. Mendelson stated he would file a lawsuit if they attempted to prevent him from campaigning.
Early voting is just two days old, but REDBROWARD received numerous tips about the aggressive behavior of Levinson supporters and members of the Broward Teachers Union (BTU). On Sunday afternoon, Ray Feis claimed Laurie Rich Levinson’s husband yelled at him after he introduced himself in Davie.
